Last few from January

I have trying to clear my desk as I have some accounts to audit and I am getting slower at doing them year by year, truth be known I am tired of figures and thereare many other hobbies that ~~I also want to keep up,beading, sewing, knitting and of course card making.

Trying to fill "My Box"

I have made a load of these type of cards as they are quite easy to make but as fast as I make them someone buys them, it's never ending but I will have a break soon.

Any one for a Cuppa--

After having lost my mojo for a month I was asked to make these cards with Tea Bags inside.  I finished them left them overnight to dry only to find the next morning that it was rotten silicone --- it did not dry but left greasy residue.

I stripped the decoupage off, thankfully printed off some more decoupage and had to redo the fronts, luckily it was a design that I had on my computer, I would have been stuck if they were purchased sheets.  Eventually they were delivered a day late, not my usual habit.
 Here they are both bad (note the greasy glue spots that came through the upper layers) and good ones.

Moving

 

My friends are moving tomorrow so will be taking this round in the morning, this decoupage was purchased from "crafts-u-print"

Cuties

These Cuties were made for my friends birthday today and could not be shown before she opened her card, I love the dramatic effect of the black and fuschia.

Card but whats the name

Yesterday I was asked to make a youngsters card ready for today, what is the name and age I asked and how about a clown with balloons. "I will let you know" was the reply. I have not heard yet so it may well end up in my stash box, it will always get used sometime, Saf-mat is always useful for putting on a late name and age can go on a balloon with a peel-off

Three Quick Cards

A Moorhead design that does not need a lot of decoration

This design is from "Fred She Said" with a sentiment and corners from Clarity Stamping.

Another Moorhead design, both these have been sitting ready to mount for about three years, now I have the right recipient for them.

Decoupage Mad

This was a decoupage sheet with four different planes, in a lot of various shapes and everypiece was a different size, I have the rest to make up but it is quite a nice and simple man's card.

At a card class a few weeks ago we were given this shaped card, nothing else and asked to complete it, it was unfolded and a variety of ideas were muted before I demonstrated the right way to fold -- well I hope it is but then every card is what you make of it. I made myself a template and now have this pattern ready for use again.

This fan card is using a recycled fan made by my friend Gwyen on my birthday card a couple of years ago but I think that it will be appreciated by my grand-daughter also, and Gwyen will be pleased that others apprecite her work.
The background is a stamp that I purchased at the Farnborough Show. I did not re-alise that it was so large and have to use my cuttlebug plate to stamp it out, it is nice to have a background that can be used with no matching up to do.

This is a decoupage by "Rosemary" that I printed from one of her CD's.

I like this last one which was a freebie in a magazine, I had no idea how to use the assorted odd shapes until I saw one that had been done at class, I am inclined to go for equally shaped designs to match up, but I do think that these uneven sizes go well to-gether. Now to use the other half of the decoupage on another shaped card.
