The lovely cards were pre-cut and pricked by me for my card class last year but we did not get round to doing them, so I had them ready for me to take when I had all my hospital appointments. I had to go in three hours before my appointments as my husband was on air at Hospital Radio, waiting times seem to be getting longer.

It seems so long since I had any inclination to make cards, I did this one for an order and then had a request again to do a demo class -- Men's style of cards again, luckily I have quite a few in my box and here are a few more.
Why do I dislike men's cards so much, because they cause me so much hassle, I much prefer flowers and daintier bits so from now on all men's cards will be strictly for my family only.

I was asked to provide some sample cards to show different styles of Men's cards -- who thought of asking me for Men's, I find them the most difficult card to do. I made some new ones and went through my stash to find any that I had made (and shown) previously, they are now ready for this weekend. I decided not to make inserts in them as I will be using them for my-self over the course of the year and like to personalise them to suit the recipient.

I am inundated with card making at the present and my mojo seems to have disappeared overnight, I have to prepare a collection of men's cards for a demo next week, why can I not think of cards for men as easily as I can for women?

Coluzzle!!! --- How did I come to get volunteered to use these again, had to search the back corners of my craft room to find them and then get the books out to look for inspiration, I don't think that I like them and had the utmost difficulty putting my mind to doing them. I found my knife for it but could not get on with the cutting mat, found it gave me a rougher edge than cutting directly onto my board..
Sorry about the dark pictures having a camera moment, I've obviously done something to it but what!!

These cards were made when I was trying to be in an 'economical' frame of mind, no decoupage only bits from the drawers. I think that I should look around and find more to do similar to these.

Oop's a bead has gone missing, will soon fix that.

It is a long time since I put anything on here, I have been making a few cards but my camera has not been playing the game, so I have taken a few of this months on the scanner, not so good but I think you can get the idea. Most are just for the'box' and will be completed when needed.

At a class that we have here where I live we made these this week, I have not put any sentiments on mine as they are "in the box" for when required. The pricking is popular with the ladies and they are now asking for 'flat' cards obviously thinking about the postage. I have noticed a reluctance by them to do decoupage even when I give it to them because they are finding the cutting difficult now that their fingers are not so nimble, so am now looking to using toppers in different ways, without too much layering except with paper.

Thes Cards are made in an attempt to use the small Le Shu decoupage from the little books, I have had these for a few years and have never used such a small size befor. I love making these cards from the stamps more so than from the sheets, cutting out accurately is now getting harder and precut decoupage does in my view make us a little lazy, but very useful for those who are unable to cutout

This one and the one below have had a small section released so that the die did not cut a small piece off, then inked up and embossed

Using dies for frames

This one has ribbon threaded through the slots, it sits nicely where the little slits have occured when the die was narrowed

This one was made longer than the die by rolling halfway through and then turning, lining it up and cutting the rest from the other end

This one was a straightford cut, inked at the edges, embossed with a ball tool at the edges and removed from die which was then used as a pattern and cut around, giving another piece to layer on.

These are a collection that I have made as samples for using Dies to make toppers and how to frame them with inks and dies and to show embossing without the need of mats. The are not personalised as they will go into the"nearly ready" box for use later

This and several others of the same pattern were made for an order, it is not always easy to find decoupage that can be fitted around the curve.

This card is made with three different coloured papers punched out and most cut across from corner to corner. The squares are 7/10th of an inch or 1.8cm -- what a funny sizing!!! but all 3 of my punches measure the same so it must be right.

These little cuties are coloured with pencil and brush washed .
Thes Choir boys are stamped and masked, they are coloured with pecils and then paint washed.
This one I have overdone with greenery and the barges are not placed that well, thiis one is watercoloured

This card and box were made to celebrate the 80th year of "The Townswomen Guild" to be presented from our Guild. In their traditional coloures of red, green and white. The words of Happy Birthday appear out of position that is because the acetate page just does not stay still.

I have been playing around with stamping pictures recently and have made quite a few cards which I have been trying to picture but the camera is playing up, so thought I would show them scanned -- not much joy here even though the scanner is only a week old I can not get it to show the correct colours of the cards, the blues and greens are turning into dirty brown cards but the stamping is OK - weird!!!!!. I must keep trying different settings but here are three to go on.

This card has no subject, I just made it and put it in the to-be finished box to be there when needed. Looking at it here, the backing paper is nowhere as beautiful as in real life.

A New Home Card for a new neighbour.

I made this "Jimmy Choo" shoe for the granddaughters birthday, then when my friend said that she had not heard of these shoes I had second thoughts , this may also apply to the granddaughter. Thanks to D.J.Harvey for this one.

This card was made for my Aunt in New Zealand who is nearly blind. I have done the insert in large words so that she can read it with her magnifying glass.

I made these three from some peel-offs that we did in class about 3 years ago, I found them when I was clearing out.
Well, my mother always told me to use all my scraps and I don't think that they are too bad considering that I was going to throw them away, these cards are always useful to have in the oddment box.

Thank you for your comments and yes I did have a lovely (nearly dry) holiday in a little 800 year old cottage in the hills above Porthmaddock, we went on many "little" train rides, around the mines and museums and toured around but alas as I was warned did not find a crafting shop of the type that I like.
I am having terrible trouble with my computer again, but I will attempt to show you the 4 stitch and decoupage cards that I made whilst on holiday.

The stitching on this card was done about a year ago and I think that it has been waiting for this"Little Boy Blue". (I have just noticed where that little bead that I lost got to.)

While I have been sorting my computer after getting some "bugs" and sitting around waiting for some of the "scans " to do their job I made these cards. I also tried to cover a Joanne Sheene evening frock with gold leaf, I am still waiting for it to dry as it is on acetate but I don't think that I have made a very good job of it.

These two were made for the twins 16th birthday, very apt as one is blonde and the other dark haired

We made these fairy cards at class to use up some flower and dragonfly accetate that has been sitting on my table for a couple of years and last years fairy calender, We made a sleeve with the accetate, it was lucky that I only had 11 pupils that day.

I am having nothing but problems with my computer, so have just backed up again in case something happens as I am just about to go on holiday and have no time to sort it at the moment

This one is for a friend you has been feeling very poorly of late.

A friend with a birthday this week is a keen gardener and allotment holder, thought this might suit him - well he does wear a similar hat to this.

These two cards are as a result of a comment "why do you never have dogs on your cards" well I have now

I have only recently started doing this type of card and I think that I may become addicted, I have just received some more stamps of similar type, so perhaps I will have a quick tidy on the table top and get them out.

I have spent a lot of time trying to sort my computer out after I downloaded my new camera's disc which upset other programmes which I had on, as a result of this I now have limited picture editing, then I had a bug which I had to have my security help me sort out, fingers, toes and anything else possible are all crossed now. One day after my holiday I will have another attempt to try and get my picture editing back on, I do miss it, being able to straighten a picture by 1 degree was so handy ---on the other hand could I do that in PSP? I will have to have a look later..
The other thing that has kept me occupied is trying to sort out all the bits and pieces I have in my craft room. Why can I never find what I am looking for when doing a project and then when finally found they turn up in the most obvious of places.
